"Over the last decade, we have received advice and assistance from sheep people in a number of countries, and all have been unfailingly generous and kind with their time and expertise. The following are some of the resources we have found most useful, either because they also use the same information technology as Siremax, or because they provide this technology or some other service to sheep industries."

·  Henry Fell, breeder of the Meatlinc sheep in England. Henry first visited Minnesota in 1987 and his example provided the inspiration for Siremax, and continues to this day. www.meatlinc.co.uk

·  Siremax is a subscriber to Lambplan, the Australian processor and evaluator of sheep information. Siremax uses Lambplan because the size of the database inspires confidence, the cost is reasonable, and carcass traits are a major part of their operation. www.sheepgenetics.org.au/lambplan/

·  The National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP) is the US version of Lambplan. The website is worth a visit, but the program does not cover carcass traits. www.nsip.org

·  Signet Breeding Services is a technical arm of Britain's Meat and Livestock Commission. It operates Sheepbreeder, the British national genetic evaluation service. www.signetfbc.co.uk

·  British Meat and Livestock Commission: www.mlc.org.uk

·  Dakota Lamb Growers Cooperative: www.dakotalamb.com

·  When you check out the Lambplan website, you will find a number of reports and articles by Rodney Watt, a top Australian breeder of Polled Dorsets and White Suffolks. An excellent site to see the uses of genetic evaluation and to have the processes and reports explained from the producer's viewpoint.  www.allstate.net.au/rwatt/

·  Livestock Guard Dogs; Maremma, Tatra and Spanish Mastiff cross puppies available twice a year.  Visit Cindy & Kelley’s Sheep Improvement Company website for up-to-date information.  www.sheepimprovement.com
